To ensure a perfect finish and depth, photos are sold with a white, neutral pH, bevel-edged slip-in mount, 40 x 50 cms. in size, and a cardboard backing.

Concerned since the beginning by the urgent preservation of what is to disappear as time goes by, keeping the memory of what is to fade away, never softening but rather magnifying it, she always keeps a surprising look at her subject : this is the meaning of Isabelle de Rouville photographic work. She explores the Haute Provence in this perspective : landscapes of « black sun » where this warm and colorful earth shows its other aspects, silent solitude, land hard to work, fighting against bad winds, where the farms and bushes seem forced to resist while hiding deep into the vales and cracks and crevices. All villages empty of all human presence live under the power of this rough nature
